Maine - Day 5

Jeff started his conference after we did a quick breakfast run to Dunkin Donuts and was in classes all day. Packer and I got a few things done in the hotel room - reading, catching up on the blog, exploring the hotel, missing the girls, and planning places to see and things to do when Jeff finished up with classes. We also had some great play time, just the two of us!

Our view from our hotel room and a blimp flying by

As soon as Jeff finished his last class of the day, we grabbed our things and headed to Maine!
This is all we got of the New Hampshire sign as we drove through that state.
Welcome to Maine!

We found a nice little beach - the Ogunquit Beach to stop at and enjoy.
It was Packer's first beach experience.

He loved it - as you can tell from the pictures.

Jeff got a neat picture with our reflection

After the beach we had to stop and get Jeff some fresh Maine lobster.
We found a little outdoor place on the way home.

Jeff ordered a Lobster Roll.  It was kind of pricey, but he said it was tasty.
I ordered a chicken parmesan sandwich that was delicious!
We enjoyed the sunset on the way back.
We stopped at a Walmart in New Hampshire to pick up a few things to get us by during the rest of the week.
On the way, we found this historic marker where George Washington had taken the time to stop his journey to greet some soldiers during the Revolutionary War.
We love that about the East Coast - historic landmarks everywhere!
