Disney Day

We have a family tradition to celebrate everything Walt Disney near the end of Summer.  We call it Disney Day.  This year, to start our Disney Day, we had Mickey and Minnie Mouse Pancakes, eggs, bacon, and hash browns.

The kids wore their Disney outfits (like the girls usually do each day, but this time they decided it would be a nice touch to add the crowns).  They had a good time playing with each other.
We then went to the Disney Store at City Creek in SLC.  That is our favorite place to go to get our Disney fix :)  We got a few pictures by the temple afterwards.

Aliyah picked out a Tiana dress to take to Disneyland (we will be going pretty soon).

Everyone got to open their Disney Day gifts in the afternoon.
For our Disney Dinner we had Bibbity Bobbity Boo Wands, Princess Parfaits, and Ariel Seashell Noodles.

And to finish the day, we watched 101 Dalmatians (the real people version) and ate homemade beignets (from Princess and the Frog).

Windy Day Superheros

It was windy today.  So, the girls decided to be superheroes and let their capes fly in the wind.

Up, up...
...and away!

Coming home from Boston

On our way to the airport we stopped at Fenway Park to see where the Boston Red Socks play.

We also drove by Symphony Hall, where the Boston Pops Orchestra plays.

Here is a picture of the skyline in Boston.
And the underground tunnels/roads often called "gopher holes"

We got to the airport a few hours early.

The next day we gave our girls their souvenirs.  We sure missed them.

 We missed this...
 And this...
And it's nice to know they missed us!

It was nice to be back together as a family!

Salem - Day 9

Today was the last day of training.  The meetings ended at noon.  We headed out to Salem.
Bewitched was filmed here in Salem!

We saw the cemetery where many of the old inhabitants were buried.

This monument memorializes the innocent people killed under accusation of witchcraft.

We had a late lunch at the Victoria Restaurant, located on the harbor and overlooking the Atlantic.

The First National Guard was posted in Salem.

We visited the House of Seven Gables.

Across the street from Hawthorne's Seven Gabled House is the first commercial candy company in the U.S.

This is where one of the judges or the governor of Salem at the time of the trial resided.

Similar to Dunkin' Donuts is Honey Dew Donuts.  We tried some for dinner.
