Homework

Tonight Daddy was helping Aliyah with some Spanish homework and Packer and Hailey wanted to do homework too.  They didn't want to be left out so I found some "homework" (workbooks) for them to work on too.  It was so cute to watch as they tried to be just like their big sister.

And I love how Packer tries to help Hailey just like Daddy is helping Aliyah!
What a great family homework night :)

Weber and Davis County Fairs

We were able to go to a couple of fairs this year.
Aug 7 we went to the Weber County Fair.

For all those Veggie Tales Silly Songs fans - It's a cebu!

We saw some cute little piglets

Afterwards we went out to eat at Pizza Pie Cafe

On Aug 15 , we went to the Davis County Fair.  Aliyah liked the petting zoo there.

We even saw an elephant there!

Hailey cooking up some cuteness

Hailey decided to be a chef today.  She put on her apron and had fun making some yummy things.
Here she is stirring a mix.

Love it!  She's such a cutie!

Aliyah's first day of Kindergarten

Our cute Aliyah Kaye started Kindergarten!  I can't believe how time flies!
She was soooo excited to start school!
She had her first school father's blessing the night before.  She eagerly got her Frozen backpack all ready and wanted to go to bed early (yet stayed awake with excitement) that night.
This morning she woke up so early and was all ready to go, dressed in her Frozen shirt and Frozen shoes and backpack, long before it was even time to go!
Here are some pictures from that morning (she is in the morning kindergarten class).

Aliyah is in the Spanish Immersion Program

Aliyah and her teacher Senora Gomez.
She enjoyed her first day of school and can't wait to go back!

Real Soccer

Jeff and I were able to have a fun date night.  We went to Leatherby's for dinner and dessert - wow!  What a yummy and huge dessert!

We then went to the Real Salt Lake Soccer game against DC United.
It was such a fun game to watch and even better being with my handsome husband!

Real Salt Lake won 3-0 and while there, Nick Rimando (the goalie) secured the lead in career shutouts for an MLS goalkeeper with over 100 shutouts!  It was quite the celebration!  What a great date!

Ogden Temple

We were able to go to the Ogden Temple Open House!  We were all so excited and anxious to see the temple that we had watched be rebuilt.  It was so beautiful and so special to share the day as a family.  Aliyah loved the brides room and celestial room.  She said she wants to get married in the Ogden Temple when she grows up.  Hailey's favorite part was the water fountains outside.  She loved the water!
Afterwards, we had some family pictures taken.

I love these cute kids so much!!  I'm so grateful we can be an eternal family because of the temple!

Our Eternal Family!!!

We love the temple!!

A couple of weeks later we drove by again.  Aliyah really wanted to get out and see the temple again, so while Daddy stayed in the car with Packer and Hailey (they were asleep in the car from the drive), I took Aliyah to the gates to see it.
