Packer's hair

Packer got applesauce from dinner in his hair.  It worked as a great gel for this mohawk!
He was sad because he wanted the camera and I wouldn't let him have it until I got a picture of his hair.
Such a sad face and a funny hair-do
A few minutes later he cheered right up, so we got another picture.
He has such a fun personality!  He likes to be silly and make us laugh.
He put his bowl on his head that night to be silly for us.
(Now you can see why the applesauce was in his hair in the first place)

The girls came up to me dressed like this.  I guess they decided to be Elsa and Olaf from Frozen.
The girls dressed Hailey up as Olaf (she's such a good sport!).  I thought it was pretty creative - they came up with her outfit all by themselves.  Do you like the hair claw placed on her shirt as a button?!  ha ha. I helped with the carrot nose after I saw them.
So cute!

Our Garden

For Family Home Evening we talked about gardens and then started ours!
We planted peas, beets, and onions - things we could plant early.
The girls LOVED helping with the seeds

For our FHE treat we had our Tigger Tails and Mouse Tails that we got at Disneyland (we were too sick to eat them there, so we bought them and brought them home with us to eat when we were better).
They are so yummy and we all really enjoyed them, but we missed the atmosphere of Disneyland with them.

The Park

My sister Laura comes over on Mondays and we usually cook and try new recipes, play, or just talk. Well, today we had great weather so instead of staying inside and cooking, we decided to go to the park.  Kimberly and their friend Miranda joined us for the fun!
We had a great time at the park!

Kimberly's chalk art - so talented!

Thanks girls for a fun day!

Aliyah's 5th Birthday!

Ever since she saw Frozen in November, Aliyah has requested an Elsa birthday party when she turned 5.
And this year she was so excited to have 3 "Elsa" birthday parties - One with the Sorensens before they left for Illinois, one on her real birthday, and one with the Thomsons that weekend.
Here are some pictures from her party with the Sorensens on Wed, March 12.
Her first "Elsa" cake

Kimberly drew Elsa holding hands with an Elsa and Olaf that Aliyah had drawn - such a cute idea!

On Aliyah's birthday (Thurs, March 13), she was so excited that she was officially 5!
We had her favorites for breakfast - Breakfast Cake (Coffee Cake)
for lunch - Life Cereal
for dinner - Macaroni and Cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and raspberries.
We played outside and at the park during the day because we had great weather!

So glad they are such good friends!

Aliyah was wanting a long "Elsa" dress for her birthday, so I made this one for her.
She gave Hailey her other one that she felt was too small.
The two loved being "Elsa" that evening.
The girls doing "Elsa" poses.

What cute girls!
We sure love our 5 year old!
She wanted this cake to show all of Elsa's dress with her hand out.  Aliyah is so funny! She had this birthday planned down to the last detail!

Aliyah wanted to cut her own cake since she was 5 yrs old now.  (Notice the size of her piece of cake!)
It was a cherry chip flavored cake with cherry ice cream to go along with it.  She loves anything Cherry!
What a fun day to celebrate her!
On Saturday, March 15 we went over to the Thomsons to celebrate Aliyah's birthday.
They had it all decorated like Frozen - Aliyah loved it!!
For her birthday dinner there, she again she requested
Macaroni and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn, and Raspberries.

Happy 5th birthday our pretty Aliyah Kaye!
We are so glad you are part of our family!
