Our Christmas Tree

We decorated our tree the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  It is so much fun for the kids.
This year they got out the step ladder so they could reach higher on the tree.  It was cute.

Packer thought it was great to try to help too.  Except he was doing the reverse.  Taking the ornaments off the tree or getting them out of the box and running off with them.

And as you can see in the pictures, the middle section of lights on our tree had gone out, but the kids didn't want to wait for Daddy to fix it, they wanted to decorate it now.  So Jeff worked on the lights after the tree was decorated and the kids went to bed that night.

Because of our cute little walker, we left the bottom of the tree very lightly decorated, but the top looked great :)
The next day the girls showed me their Christmas "socks".
It's something we have all probably have thought of doing at one point in our lives (or at least I have).
It made me laugh!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving week!
We celebrated Thanksgiving with the Sorensens and Carter Family.
Hailey finally wore long sleeves!  What a cute girl!

Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Carter were there which made it special.

Aunt Kimberly and Aunt Laura playing princesses with Hailey while waiting for the yummy food.
Time to eat!
It was delicious and it was fun having everyone there.

That evening we got a picture of the girls in their matching shirts.

This is a picture of the kids patiently waiting in the car while Daddy tried some early Black Friday shopping.  "Never again" is what I think Jeff said when he got back!

The next day we got to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Thomsons.
Grandpa reading to Hailey while waiting for the yummy food.
Aliyah and Uncle Jayce
After the delicious dinner, the turkey kicked in and Hailey fell fast asleep next to Grandpa.
On Sunday we made our own little Thanksgiving meal.
Here are the kids with our Thankful Turkey.

A few pictures because I try to get them all to look and all to smile.  Doesn't always work, oh well.

As always, Jeff does such a great job with our turkey- YUM!

And one of our pies Aliyah helped me make this year.
Festive Apricot Cranberry.
We also tried a Maple Pumpkin pie which was pretty good too!
We have so much to be grateful for!  Family, the gospel, our new home, our health, Jeff's job, and all our wonderful experiences to name just a few!
