Our pretty Aliyah Kaye turned 4 years old on March 13!
She was looking forward to this day for a long time. She was so anxious to be 4yrs old. She wanted a Pocahontas birthday this year. (She had decided this 4-5 months ago and has stuck with it. When she makes up her mind, she sticks with it!) Every morning for the past couple of weeks she would ask if it was her birthday yet. She was so excited to finally hear it was her birthday! We had breakfast cake (coffee cake) for her birthday breakfast (her favorite).
We had such nice weather that we decided to do a picnic birthday dinner. She wanted chicken nuggets, blueberry muffins, strawberries, corn, and "pink" (strawberry) milk.
We then let her open her presents.
She really wanted a Pocahontas dress for her birthday. I made her this dress and a beaded necklace.

Then it was time for her cake. She picked a white cake with pink frosting and "Pocahontas standing up with her long hair", and blue candles. She's so cute. She know exactly what she wants.
Her smile makes me laugh. She is trying too hard to pose for the camera.
It was such a fun day! She kept referring to herself as the "birthday girl" all day. She likes to tell everyone that she is the "oldest" now because she is four. She also gets upset and corrects Jeff and me if we ever call her a kid. She tells us she is not a kid, she is a Big Girl!
Four years sure went by fast!
Aliyah had a great week. She was able to have a party with the Thomsons on Tuesday, March 12th.
They decorated the table so cute for her! Complete with Grandmother Willow, grass, water tablecloth, and Meeko the raccoon. Aliyah picked egg sandwiches, strawberries, and mushrooms for her birthday dinner with the Thomsons.
Her Pocahontas cake - this time it was blue with pink and blue candles.
A Pocahontas DVD!
It was such a great evening for her- Thanks Thomsons and Silvers!
Aliyah then had a party with the Sorensens on Thursday, March 14.
Another blue Pocahontas cake - this time with blue candles.
(Thanks to all our families for helping us eat all these cakes!)

Aliyah was excited to get a card from Aunt Arianne on her mission!
What a great birthday week for our cute Aliyah.
We sure love you, our "Big Girl!" Happy Birthday!
