Princess Party

Laura and Kimberly put together a "Princess Party" for the kids.
The girls wore their favorite princess dresses, got crowns, necklaces, sparkles, put on a little makeup, and fingernail polish and the boys got knighted.  All were treated royally and everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
Enjoying princess snacks

Aunt Kimberly was dressed up like princess Ariel with red hair and all!

Packer had a great time too!

And lots of dancing!

Here are the princesses (Except Hailey who was not wanting to have any pictures taken).
Kimberly and Laura's friend Miranda came to help (she is dressed up as princess Belle in a pink dress).
Once Zak showed up, Hailey finally warmed up and let me take a picture and enjoyed the rest of the party.  She was buds with Zac.  (Zac dressed up as the Mad Hatter.)

The royal chairs

That evening the girls wore their crowns and their matching pajamas and kept talking about the party and how they want another one soon!
Thanks Aunt Kimberly and Aunt Laura for a fun Princess Party!

Snow Fun

The girls love playing in the snow.
Hailey does not like to walk in the snow, unless she is holding someones hand.  So she prefers to play where there is solid ground - the deck or driveway - but she still plays!
Aliyah built a little snowman
And gave it a kiss
Hailey playing with her snow on the steps.
Daddy helped us build a slide in our yard

Hailey liked the steps the best

New Years

Happy 2014!!
We celebrated the New Year with the Sorensens.
We made some treats to bring over and Aliyah really got into the idea of cooking and wanted to create her own recipes too so I finally gave in and let her try making a couple of her own to bring along too.
Here is a picture of her showing her creations.  She made some type of oreo soup concoction and some oreo stacks with icing.
(The oreos with icing were good.  The soup was, well, interesting.  Everyone was a good sport and tried a tiny spoonful.  Thank you!  It made Aliyah's day.)
Here are the girls cooking

The girls were so anxious to celebrate that night.  They enjoyed staying up later.
We ended up doing an earlier celebration with the kids though because they were getting pretty tired and ready for bed.
Great Grandpa Carter came to celebrate too!
Happy New Year!
The kids loved the poppers!  As you can see, Hailey got excited each time we popped one!

Happy 2014!!!
