Goats

One of Jeff's co-workers invited us over for a BBQ and to see their new baby goats.
We had a great time.  While we were there they let us bottle feed the 2 new calves that they had.  We then played with the baby goats.  They had 9 little ones.  The girls loved petting, holding and chasing the goats.
Here are some pictures from last night.

Aliyah was a little nervous at first.
But once she held this little white goat, she was in love!  She would not put this goat down.  She carried it around with her and thought it was the neatest thing!

After dinner, Aliyah wanted to go play with the goats again.  She was a lot more confident this time.  In fact, she came running over to us telling us that she caught this goat.  She was so proud and excited.  It was so cute.

I'm so glad I got this on video.  It makes me laugh!  I told her to put the goat down so it could play, well she had another idea of "play" in mind.
(No animals were hurt in the making of this film)
We had a great evening and were so glad they let us come visit and play!

Park with Laura

It was a beautiful day so we decided to go to the park.  The girls proudly call this park "Our Park" because it is within walking distance of our house.
We invited Aunt Laura to join us.  We had a great time!
Packer's first time down a slide (or "Wheee" as Hailey calls it).  He enjoyed it!

I love these two!

They wanted Laura to climb the tower on their pretend long hair.

What a fun day!

Arches National Park

It was free National Park week, so we decided to do a quick trip down to Arches National Park (April 25-26).  Jeff finished work early on Thursday so we left around 4pm.

We stopped in Price to eat and let the girls get out some of their energy at the McDonald's playplace.
They loved the stop!

Even Packer was happy to be there!
The girls were so excited to go to a hotel!  That last half hour seemed so long because of the all the excitement!
When we got to the hotel in Moab, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that they upgraded us to a suite for the same price as their regular room!  We had so much fun playing in the hotel that night!
It had a front room with a huge flat screen TV and a balcony.
It had a little kitchen
And two king size beds (that were pretty bouncy. he he)
And we had another balcony from our room.
We were wishing that we could have stayed another night or two there!

Friday morning the hotel gave us a coupon for the Pancake Haus.  We decided to give it a try.
It was very busy there.  They had HUGE pancakes.  We left pretty full!

Then we started our drive and exploration of Arches.
It was beautiful!

We got a lot of stares, glares, and compliments with our girls in princess dresses instead of hiking clothes.
We definitely stood out!  I thought they were pretty cute princess hikers.

Courthouse Towers Viewpoint

Balanced Rock
Delicate Arch
We weren't able to the hike to it, we just hiked the path to the lookout point.
Aliyah loved the hike and kept asking if we could go hiking again.

We have great zooming capabilities on our camera!
The girls favorite was Sandy Arch
They were able to play in sand, explore some caves, and play under the arch.

We could have spent all day there.  They would have loved it!
Unfortunately we had to get back that evening, so we kept going.
All three kids fell asleep so we had to do our last bit of sightseeing from the car.

Although it was brief, it was such a fun trip!  We will definitely be coming back again.
