Leaves

10/18
We helped rake Great Grandpa Carters leaves and get his house ready for winter.
The kids were so helpful!  They worked hard helping us.
Packer, tried to do what we were doing.  He would take his broom (the rake was too heavy and would get stuck in the grass) and push the leaves out of the pile, thinking we were just spreading leaves.  Although it was more work to rake them back up, it was so cute to watch that we let him.

Here are some action shots of the girls tossing leaves in the air.
If you scroll fast, you can see them in action :)

The next week we went with Grandpa and Grandma Sorensen to the Pumpkin walk.  We had a BBQ at their house before we went.  The kids had fun playing in the leaves and even burying Daddy in the leaves.  What a good sport!

Black Island Farms

We went to Black Island Farms to go on the hayride to get our pumpkins.  We enjoy that place and all the memories we have of when we lived across the street from it.
Packer loved that we got to ride behind the tractor!

Packer picking out his pumpkin.  It was cute, he had to find the right one.  He kept walking around to the pumpkins, trying to lift one and then would say "nope" and move onto the next one.  He's a natural farmer!

Pointing out the tractor and wanting to ride it.
We had a great time!

Anniversary Inn

For Christmas, Jeff's parents gave us a night at Anniversary Inn.  We were so excited!  Because we went to NYC for our anniversary, we decided to use it in October - which worked out great because they have deals going on in October on their rooms.
We were treated to the roof for dinner - yum!

Then we spent the night in the Anniversary Suite.  It was fancy!

Thanks Mom and Dad!  It was a great getaway!

Playground

Sometimes when we drop Aliyah off at school, the kids ask to play on the school playground.  Here are some pictures of them one morning.

(Hailey wanted to wear her backpack just like her sister)

They are putting in a new, bigger playground next to an older, smaller one at one of our city parks.  So right now they are doing construction.  As soon as we got to the park, the girls ran straight to the slides and Packer ran straight to the fence to watch the tractors and stayed there the whole time!

Gardner's Village

We went to Gardner's Village to see the witches and Halloween decorations.
And like each time we go, Daddy lets us pick out a treat at the candy shop.
The kids picked suckers on long sticks and posed for Daddy while they enjoyed them.

Afterwards we went to Leatherby's for lunch and some yummy ice cream dessert

General Conference

In between sessions of General Conference on Saturday, we went to have a picnic and see the fall leaves.
And here are some pictures of the kids watching conference with their popcorn
(our Conference treat)

We love conference and listening to our Prophet and church leaders!

Later that day, the girls make a "Haunted Mansion" outside and were pretending to be ghosts.
