Aliyah's 5th Birthday!

Ever since she saw Frozen in November, Aliyah has requested an Elsa birthday party when she turned 5.
And this year she was so excited to have 3 "Elsa" birthday parties - One with the Sorensens before they left for Illinois, one on her real birthday, and one with the Thomsons that weekend.
Here are some pictures from her party with the Sorensens on Wed, March 12.
Her first "Elsa" cake

Kimberly drew Elsa holding hands with an Elsa and Olaf that Aliyah had drawn - such a cute idea!

On Aliyah's birthday (Thurs, March 13), she was so excited that she was officially 5!
We had her favorites for breakfast - Breakfast Cake (Coffee Cake)
for lunch - Life Cereal
for dinner - Macaroni and Cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn and raspberries.
We played outside and at the park during the day because we had great weather!

So glad they are such good friends!

Aliyah was wanting a long "Elsa" dress for her birthday, so I made this one for her.
She gave Hailey her other one that she felt was too small.
The two loved being "Elsa" that evening.
The girls doing "Elsa" poses.

What cute girls!
We sure love our 5 year old!
She wanted this cake to show all of Elsa's dress with her hand out.  Aliyah is so funny! She had this birthday planned down to the last detail!

Aliyah wanted to cut her own cake since she was 5 yrs old now.  (Notice the size of her piece of cake!)
It was a cherry chip flavored cake with cherry ice cream to go along with it.  She loves anything Cherry!
What a fun day to celebrate her!
On Saturday, March 15 we went over to the Thomsons to celebrate Aliyah's birthday.
They had it all decorated like Frozen - Aliyah loved it!!
For her birthday dinner there, she again she requested
Macaroni and Cheese, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Corn, and Raspberries.

Happy 5th birthday our pretty Aliyah Kaye!
We are so glad you are part of our family!

Playtime

Hailey's tent
 Building Legos together
 Coloring with Aunt Laura
 Packer driving Aliyah around
(well, pretending - the battery on the jeep is dead)

  Packer wearing glasses
He loves to wear these. He thinks it's so funny.  He has quite the sense of humor and is such tease.  He likes making us laugh with these glasses and by putting things on his head.

Hailey dressed up as Minnie Mouse with her "Minnie" ears

More cute pictures of Packer wearing these glasses

 Hailey being silly
Hailey was so dusty and dirty - piles of sand in her hair, diaper and dress - after playing in the dirt

The kids watching a movie together.
I paused it to get a picture of the three of them together and I actually got a picture with ALL three of them looking at the camera at the same time!! WOW!
Jeff trying on a top hat
Aliyah created a Disneyland ride for us at home.
This is us enjoying her ride.
Can you tell we are super excited for our trip to Disneyland?!

Dance lessons

Aliyah just finished up her second round of dance lessons (8 week lessons offered through the city).
She has loved dance class!
This round they learned some basics of ballet.

At the end, they do a goodbye dance.  They line up against the wall until Ms Angie calls their name.
Then they dance however they like over to her and she gives them a stamp on their hand.
Aliyah loves seeing what stamp she gets for that day.
She has such a great teacher!
She loves dance and can't wait for the next session to start!
